The 7th International Weapons and Military Equipment Expo & Forum (INDO DEFENCE, INDO AEROSPACE, INDO HELICOPTER, INDO MARINE 2016 Expo&Forum) took place from 2 - 5 November 2016.

844 Companies from 55 countries of the world (573 foreign and 271 local Companies), 33 national pavilions participated in the event. More  than 100 official delegations and more than 30 000 specialists visited the exhibition. The exhibition was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense of Indonesia in “Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran” Expo Center. The organizational partner was PT Napindo Media Ashatama.

The official delegation of the State Military Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus at INDO DEFENCE-2016 was led by Mr. Gennady Smolsky, SMIC Deputy Chairman.  

The joint organizer and main exhibitor of the Belarusian joint stand at the show was the SFTUE "Belspetsvneshtechnika". The SFTUE “Belspetsvneshtechnika” exhibited advanced defense technologies and the latest capabilities of the defense sector of Belarus with respect to design of fire engagement combat systems, combat geoinformation systems (automation mean systems, communication systems and means), optic and optronic equipment, Belarusian innovative technologies applied for development and manufacture of robotics systems of various designation as well as high-edge developments of radars and REW means, capabilities to deliver technical training means, upgrade of armored equipment and ADMSs.

The National Belarusian Pavilion was also represented by the following Companies: UE “Minotor-Service”; “BelOMO” Holding;
OJSC “DB Radar”, OJSC “DB Display”; CJSC “TSNIP”; OJSC “558 ARP”. The mentioned above Companies presented the latest developments in the sphere of automated control systems of anti-aircraft, missile and radio-technical units and sub-units of REW and AF, mobile anti-tank missile systems, new model of remotely-controlled observation-firing system ADUNOK, microdisplay indication systems, aviation displays, video monitors and panel computers for operation under severe operation conditions. The Companies   demonstrated mock-ups of various samples of military equipment as well as provided information about scientific-research and R&D works, developments, manufacture, upgrade , overhaul and technical maintenance of armament and military equipment.  

Minister of Defense of Indonesia as well as Chives of defense authorities from a number of the Southeast Asia countries visited the joint Belarusian stand.   The guests attentively reviewed the exhibited equipment and armaments and expressed interest in development of bilateral cooperation in the most prospective directions of military-technical cooperation.

Within the period from 23-28 October 2016, the 5th Meeting of the Joint Belarus-Cuba Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation was held at SFTUE “Belspetsvneshtechnika”.

The Cuban delegation was headed by Cuban Revolutionary Air and Air Defence Force Commander. The Belarusian party was represented by Mr. Gennady Smolsky, Deputy Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee and representatives of a number of enterprises which are included into Goscomvoyenprom. Mr. Sergei Gurulev, Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee, took part in the work of the Commission.

The parties discussed conditions of the cooperation in the military-technical field. A positive dynamics of the development of cooperation between the two countries, as well as availability of a wide range of promising projects were mentioned.

The next meeting of the Joint Commission will be held in 2017 in Havana (Republic of Cuba). 

On the 27th of October, SFTUE “Belspetsvneshtechnika” took part in an operational meeting of command staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus.

The event was led by Lieutenant General Andrei Ravkov, Minister of Defense of Belarus. The objective of the meeting was to elaborate a uniform understanding by the command staff of the Armed Forces of principal directions of training of military personnel in 2016/2017 academic year.

Chiefs of defense administration bodies, commanders and сhiefs of staff of formations and military units, chiefs of military educational establishments, military students of the Faculty of the General Staff of Armed Forces and chief enlistment officers took part in the event.

SFTUE “Belspetsvneshtechnika” presented modern optronic items for armored vehicles and small arms, which had undergone a series of research tests.

Within the period from 2-5 November 2016, SFTUE “Belspetsvneshtechnika” will participate in INDO DEFENCE Expo & Forum 2016 – the leading 7th International Tri-Service Defence Expo & Forum of the Indonesian Armed Forces (Jakarta, Indonesia) as organizer and main exhibitor of the joint Belarusian stand.

INDO DEFENCE Expo & Forum has been held biennially since 2004 alongside INDO AEROSPACE and INDO MARINE on the initiative and supported by the Ministry of Defence of Indonesia.

At present time, more than 800 companies, 20000 delegates, 33 National Pavilions and 100 official delegations are planning to participate in the exhibition.

The themes of the exhibition virtually cover all the range of armament and military equipment used by land, air and naval forces of the Southeast Asia countries. INDO DEFENCE EXPO comes with an international conference, a variety of technical presentations and live product demos.

SFTUE “Belspetsvneshtechnika”, UE “Minotor-Service”, BelOMO Holding, JSC “KB Display”, JSC “KB Radar” and TSNIP CJSC will participate in INDO DEFENCE Expo & Forum 2016 with expositions on the joint Belarusian stand and present to participants and guests of the exhibition information about their latest developments of air defense missile systems, optronic products, modern automated troop command and control systems, simulator technology, the latest developments in the radioelectronic warfare and radio detection and ranging field, will demonstrate various military equipment mock-up models, as well as will inform about research and design work, design, development, manufacture, upgrade, overhaul and technical maintenance of weapons and military equipment.

The 2^nd International Exhibition “ADEX-2016” took part in the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the period from September 27^th till September 30^th, being one of the largest military event in the Caspian region.

  The exhibition was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense Industry and Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan.    Organizational partner was Caspian Event Organisers Company. General sponsor of “ADEX-2016”  was Undersecretariat for Defense Industry of Turkey.

216 companies from 34 countries, 29 official delegations from 21 countries of the world participated in the event. The exhibition welcomed the new participants from Latvia, Montenegro, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia.   Companies, delegations and guests from 44 countries around the world participated in  “ADEX-2016”.  Occupying three halls of Baku Expo Center and outdoor area, the exhibition area increased by 10%.   10 national exhibition stands from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Israel, China, Pakistan, Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey, France, Czech Republic  took part in the event. Turkey was represented by 42 Companies, Israel – by 14 Companies, Russia – by 14 Companies.

Mr. Sergey Gurulev, Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus, headed  the official delegation of the SMIC in  “ADEX-2016”.

The SFTUE “Belspetsvneshtechnika” participated in “ADEX-2016” as a collective organizer of the united exhibition stand of the State Military Industrial Committee. The SFTUE “Belspetsvneshtechnika” exhibited advanced defense technologies and the latest capabilities of the defense sector of Belarus with respect to design of fire engagement combat systems, combat geoinformation systems (automation mean systems, communication systems and means), optic and optronic equipment, Belarusian innovative technologies applied for development and manufacture of robotics systems of various designation as well as high-edge developments of radars and REW means, capabilities to deliver technical training means, upgrade of armored equipment and ADMSs. The following companies exhibited their products in the National Belarusian Pavilion: OJSC “AGAT – Control Systems – Managing Company of Geoinformation Control Systems Holding”, JSC “KB Radar”, BelOMO Holding, SC “140th Repair Plant” and  Scientific and Production Limited Liability Company “OKB TSP”.

The combat vehicle from the composition of Belarusian missile system “Polonez” became the main  showpiece of the 2^nd International Defense Industry Exhibition “ADEX-2016”. The combat vehicle was demonstrated for the first time.

Special attention was paid to the exhibition outdoor area, which was totally occupied by companies from around the world. Republic of Belarus exhibited the following products on the exhibition outdoor area: command staff vehicle “Redut-221”, mobile staff module MShM-2, technical maintenance vehicle (MTO-AT-MB), mobile power station PES-100-t/230/ch/400 MB, radar RLS-50, UAV “KONDOR-1”, mock-up of upgraded Su-25 aircraft, mock-up of aircraft-type UAV “Berkut-1” and “Berkut-2”, vertical landing/take-off UAV “Shershen”, as well system of radio technical protection of aircraft against precision radio control weapon “Satellite”.     In total Belarusian companies demonstrated more than 90 showpieces  of military designation products. Informational partner of  “ADEX 2016” was the magazine of the State Military Industrial Committee “VPK. Belarus”, which had its own exhibition stand.

Mr. Ilham Aliev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the First Deputy Prime-Minister, the Head of Military Department, the Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan, Air Force and Air Defense Commander-in-Chief- Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the united Belarusian stand within the first hours of the exhibition.  The guests attentively reviewed the exhibited equipment and armaments and expressed interest in development of bilateral cooperation in the most prospective directions of military-technical cooperation.
