Designation
UCAS “Chekan” is designed for air reconnaissance and destruction of immobile and slowly moving targets: manpower on open ground and easy-vulnerable equipment in both daylight and dark hours at the distance of up to 25 km from ground control post. UCAV being part of the system is focused on single use and provides capability of flight task cancelling and running landing within the line-of-sight. The UCAV is equipped with a system providing protection against self-detonation. Tactical radius is up to 25 km.
The system comprises:
- Single-use unmanned combat aerial vehicle – 2 pcs;
- Ground control post– 1 piece;
- Catapult – 1 piece.
Maximum take-off weight – 13 kg.
2.4 kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead providing formed fragments after explosion is located inside the UAV fuselage.
UAV take-off is carried out using catapult.
UAS deployment time – 30 minutes, preparation time to launch next UAV – 10 minutes.
Combat crew of stationary position comprises 5 people:
- crew commander;
- UCAS operator;
- UCAS technician;
- launching ground technician;
- antenna post technician.
