The simulator for training artillery units forward observers is designed for the conduct of classes (training) of forward observers in observation post control by survey, reconnaissance and target coordinates determining, firing data transmission to fire control post, as well as artillery units fire adjustment under virtual battlefield conditions. Observation post reconnaissance means simulators make it possible to train forward observers without the use of standard weapons and combat materiel.
Simulator composition:
• Chief instructor’s automated workstation;
• Fire control post chief officer’s automated workstation;
• Forward artillery observer’s automated workstation;
• Binocular simulator - 2 pcs. (type to be determined by a Customer);
• Range finder simulator (type to be determined by a Customer);
• Aiming circle simulator (type to be determined by a Customer);
• Virtual battlefield display means.
1. Chief instructor’s automated workstation
The simulator operation is controlled by the chief instructor’s auto-mated workstation means. The automated workstation consists of the following equipment:
• Widescreen display;
• Binocular simulator;
• PC simulator;
• Keyboard;
• Mouse;
• Joystick;
• Printer;
• Acoustic system;
• Headset with microphone.
2. Fire control post chief officer’s automated workstation
Fire control post chief officer’s automated workstation consists of the following equipment:
• Widescreen display;
• PC simulator;
• Keyboard;
• Mouse;
• Joystick.
3. Forward artillery observer’s automated workstation
Forward artillery observer’s automated workstation con-sists of the following equipment:
• PC simulator;
• Range finder simulator;
• Aiming circle simulator;
• Binocular simulator.
4. Virtual battlefield display means
Virtual battlefield display means include multimedia means for the tactical situation collective display on command and observation posts:
• Rack;
• Displays 60’’– 3 pcs.;
• Acoustic system.
