Optical surveillance station (OST)

Optical surveillance station (OST) is intended for search, detection and tracking of airborne and ground objects in visible and IR spectral ranges as well as measuring objects angular coordinates, processing and transmitting measurement results and video images in real-time mode.

Optical surveillance station can be used for reconnaissance of terrain and enemy, support of artillery units firing, measurements of object flight path. In AD systems, OST can be used as fire control station of Air Defense Missile Systems (ADMS) as well as for 24-hour surveillance of protected areas (borders, terrain areas, restricted areas).

OST can be installed on stationary towers, platforms and transport vehicles including special vehicles. It can also be integrated into optronic surveillance systems including radars.

Composition of optical surveillance station:
• Optical-mechanical device consisting of:
- Wide-field television (TV) channel;
- Narrow-field TV channel;
- Thermal imaging (TI) channel;
- Elevation rotary device;
- Azimuth rotary device.
• Operator’s automated workstation with video monitor.
• Set of connecting cables.
