100 mm anti–tank gun МТ–12 “RAPIRA”

100 mm anti-tank gun MT-12 (T-12) “Rapira” is intended to hit armored targets as well as manpower and enemy fire weapons. High muzzle velocity of a projectile and long range of a direct shot makes it possible to destroy enemy armored equipment with high probability.

Аnti-tank guided missiles, hollow charge, sub-caliber and high-explosive fragmentation ammunitions are used for firing which makes the gun multipurpose and allows to hit armored targets, manpower and enemy fire weapons both by direct firing and from covered fire positions.

Artillery sights are installed on MT-12 gun:
• For direct firing in the daytime (at visible target) – OP4MU-40U optical sight;
• For firing from closed positions (at invisible target) – S71-40 mechanical sight with PG-1M panoramic sight and K-1 collimator;
• For night firing – APN-6-40 night sight (1PN35).

Anti–tank rounds with guided missiles
100 mm rounds 3UBK-10 (anti-tank guided missile 9М117) with anti-tank guided missile are intended to fire at tanks, self-propelled artillery guns and other armored targets having composite, distributed and one-piece armor including explosive reactive armor (ERA) as well as to fire at fortifications and engineering constructions.

Ammunitions used for 100 mm gun МТ-12 (Т-12)
Armor-piercing sub-caliber projectiles
100 mm rounds UBM1 and UBM2 with armor-piercing sub-caliber projectiles ZBM1 (with core) and ZBM2 (without core) are intended for firing at tanks, self-propelled guns, other armored targets as well as fortifications and engineering structures.

Hollow charge projectiles
100 mm rounds UBK2 and UBK2M with hollow charge fragmentation projectiles 3BK3 and 3BK3M equipped with GPV-2 fuse are designed for direct firing at armored targets with strong armor protection, at light shelters and manpower.

High-explosive fragmentation projectiles
100 mm round UOF3 with high-explosive fragmentation projectile 3OF15, equipped with V-429E fuse is designed for firing at manpower, firing points, field-type engineering structures and other targets.
