List of main works performed at tank upgrading to the Т-72M-1 level:
• Replacement of electro-optical night sight “ТPN-3” (“ТPN-1”) with the new tank thermal imaging sight “Serval-1-49-23”;
• Replacement of electro-optical observation device for tank commander “ТКN-3” with the new multichannel (optical, 3-rd generation IIT and thermal imaging channels) device for tank commander “ТКN-N”;
• Replacement of the “TVNE-4B” device with combined passive observation device for mechanic-driver “Puma Driver-4B” with TV and thermal imaging channels;
• Replacement of R-123, R-123M, R-173, R-173M radio stations with software-defined VHF radio station “Drofa” R-181-50TU which ensures exchange of encrypted and non-encrypted voice data and data with enhanced anti-jamming protection and concealed operation;
• Reequipping of turret for mounting 8 launchers of 902B “Тucha” system;
• Reequipping of tank with reactive armor piece “Contact-1”;
• Manufacture and mounting of the left SPTA box on the turret;
• Manufacture and mounting of reequipped SPTA box (for placement of underwater driving equipment) on the turret.
