Designed for personnel transportation and fire support using standard weapons. The BTR-70 upgrade project includes: a new power plant based on KAMAZ engine, equipping with a new day/night sight “PP-61MK”, observation device for driver “Puma Driver-170А” and radio station R-181-50TU “Drofa”. The vehicle can be used by mechanized infantry and by the marines.
