SAPPHIRE grenade launcher system

Designed for engaging armored vehicles, destroying enemy personnel located both in open terrain and in bunkers, shelters and various structures.

Distinctive features of the product:

• The grenade body and pod are made of composite materials, which reduce the total weight of the weapon;

• The weapon supports two interchangeable warhead types: high-explosive fragmentation (HE-FRAG) and shaped charge fragmentation (HEAT-FRAG);

• The weapon is equipped with a programmable fuze that enables two operating modes: impact (detonation on contact) and

trajectory (air burst detonation at a pre-set range);

• To enhance fire density, the system allows cluster firing of up to four units (subject to the operator’s physical capability). Clusters may consist of either HE-FRAG or HEAT-FRAG munitions in any configuration;

• The cluster configuration supports both salvo and sequential firing;

• Mode selection and pre-launch settings are controlled via a standalone launch control unit.
