It is intended to replace PP-61A (AM) day sight in turret machine gun mount of APC BTR-60, BTR-70 and armored reconnaissance vehicle BRDM-2.
Ensures:
• 24-hour passive target detection;
• Aimed firing using machine guns at the distance of up to 2000 m in day time and up to 600 m at night without using IR-illuminator.
