Glissada Mobile Sigint Station is intended for passive reconnaissance (without emission of radiation) of a location of air, ground and water-surfaced targets, monitoring of electronic situation in band 30 – 18 000 MHz.
The information about detected targets is applied over a unified map.
One Station provides:
- UHF/VHF-monitoring (ELINT) and direction-finding of air, ground, water-surfaced radio-emitting targets, including military communication nodes in band 30 – 3 000 MHz;
- Detection and direction-finding of radio-emitting systems (aviation onboard radars, ground and water-surfaced radars (SAM radars)) in band 1 – 18 GHz;
- Detection of aviation transponders of air targets in band 1 000 – 1 100 MHz, definition of coordinates and other relevant characteristics, including identification.
All information analyzed by the station can be recorded (saved) both locally (on the station workstations) and in a unified data base on the station server.
The station can be integrated in a C4I system, as well has a capability for a remote data transfer.
The station has camouflage facilities and can be applied in a fortified position.
The Station can be applied as a reconnaissance system of a brigade commander and (or) army corps.
Application of the Station
The station can function both independently and as a part of a complex of several similar stations.
When working as a part of the complex of several similar stations, one of them is operating as the master station. The other stations become slave stations and can function without their operators.
Most precise position finding of targets is ensured, when operating as the complex of several similar stations:
- on the basis of information of COMINT and direction-finding of ground, water-surfaced and air radio links using theta-theta method (in case of joint operation of two and more stations);
- on the basis of receiving and decoding of signals of air transponders, using multilateration method (in case of joint operation of three and more stations);
- detection and position finding of aviation radars by theta-theta method (in case of joint operation of two and more stations) or multilateration method (in case of joint operation of three and more stations).
The station software has a capability for remote control and data transfer via radio channels, wired and fiber optical lines, having 8 Mb/sec data transmission rate that makes it possible to create distributed SIGINT (monitoring of radio situation) systems with various configuration and integrate them into a C4I system.
