THE 6TH MEETING OF THE JOINT BELARUS-CUBAN COMMISSION FOR MILITARY-TECHNICAL COOPERATION (HAVANA, CUBA) HELD
From 16 to 17 November 2017 in the city of Havana (Republic of Cuba) the sixth meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Cuban Commission on military-technical cooperation was held.
The meeting was chaired by: I.M. Demydenko, First Deputy Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the Belarusian part of the Joint Belarusian-Cuban Commission for Military-Technical Cooperation; Brigadier General Thomas Valdez Hernandez, Commander of Air Defense and Air Force of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of the Republic of Cuba, Chairman of the Cuban Part of the Joint Belarusian-Cuban Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation.
Representatives of GVTUP “Belspetsvneshtekhnika” attended the meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Cuban Commission. The results of the implementation of the decisions of the previous meeting were summarized, and promising cooperation projects were discussed.
The Belarusian side visited the enterprises of the Cuban military industry. The parties confirmed their mutual interest in the further development of military-technical cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Cuba. The parties agreed to hold the 7th meeting of the commission in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Minsk. Following the work, a protocol was signed.
