Representative of the State Authority for Military Industry presented his report at the meeting of the Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council
On July 20, 2022, a meeting of the Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council was held in Moscow.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Executive Committee of the CIS, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
Representative of SAMI, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Belarus in the Council, Chairman of the Radio Navigation Interstate Council Vladimir Tsalko presented his report “On the Interstate Radio Navigation Programme of the CIS Member States for 2023-2026”.
The Commission approved the work of the government bodies of the CIS member states that regulate activities in the field of navigation.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation was determined as the customer-coordinator of the programme. The national state customers of the programme are the State Authority for Military Industry of the Republic of Belarus (SAMI), the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia.
He noted that the constructive work of the relevant national authorities, the Radio Navigation Interstate Council made it possible to, taking into account the recommendations of the Commission, develop quickly and carry out intrastate coordination of the draft programme.
The draft new programme provides for organisational support for the coordinated development of radio navigation systems and means of the CIS member states, as well as the development of radio navigation means based on the use of ground and space-based navigation system signals on an electronic component base, mainly developed by the CIS member states.
OJSC “AGAT – Control Systems – Managing Company of Geoinformation Control Systems Holding” and NTLab-systems LLC are planning to participate in the implementation of the programme activities from the Belarusian side.
In his speech, Vladimir Tsalko emphasised that the implementation of the programme’s activities would contribute to a more active deepening of the integration processes of the CIS member states.
The Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council recommended to submit the draft programme at the Economic Council in September 2022.
