The company started repairing more Mi-24 helicopters for the Belarusian Defense Ministry since the state took over the management of the company. “The plant operates in strict accordance with its development program, all financial, economic and social parameters were met last year. The company worked with profit and profitability. Production volumes increased substantially and, most importantly, almost doubled wages,” the general director added.
Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant provides services domestically and to foreign partners from African and Asian countries. The company has a lot of work this year.
Representatives of the Belarusian army came to Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant on 30 January to perform acceptance trials of a Mi-24 helicopter the company had repaired. Since July 2018 the company has repaired three helicopters for the Belarusian army. A fourth one is in the pipeline. After turnaround maintenance the repaired hardware gets a new lease on life. The coat of paint gets renewed in a new coating chamber.
Major of the aviation service engineer Dmitry Chopko noted that the quality of the repair of military equipment suits, each time it grows. “Acceptance trials represent a great deal of work. Six specialists are involved, with each of them taking care of his own area of expertise,” the officer said. The repaired Mi-24 helicopter is expected to perform a check flight. It will have to land at the Machulishchi airfield near Minsk on 31 January.
