State Authority for Military Industry of the Republic of Belarus presents the latest defense technologies at the exhibition in Egypt
The Belarusian exposition is presented at the International Exhibition of Scientific and Technical Developments “Belarus – Egypt: Forward-Looking Partnership”, within the framework of the visit of the Head of the State, which is held in the Arab Republic of Egypt within February 19–20, 2020.
Companies, being part of the State Authority for Military Industry system and the defense sector of the economy, set up their expositions in the new administrative capital of Egypt: such companies as SFTUE “Belspetsvneshtechnika”, JSC “KB Radar” – Managing Company of the “Radar Systems” Holding, “Display” Design office”, JSC, Scientific and Production Limited Liability Company “OKB TSP”, BelOMO Holding, and Synesis, LLC demonstrated their own developments and the latest defense technologies, as well as the results of project implementation in the field of scientific and technical, as well as innovative activities.
The companies of the State Authority for Military Industry and the defense sector of the economy presented the following at their booths: IT products (integrated state border security system and “KIPOD” cloud-based intelligent surveillance platform); fire weapons mockup samples – the pride of the Belarusian defense industry “Polonez” Missile System with operation range of up to 300 km and the new “Buk-MB2(3)K” Medium-Range Air Defense Missile System; automated weapons – “ADUNOK” combat module and “Legion-B” artillery fire control system; high mobility radar air targets detection systems, as well as effective systems, counteracting various types of unmanned air-based systems, which can be quickly deployed to cover any military or civilian target – “Vostok-3D” 3D radar, intended for export, and “Groza-S” electronic warfare station; mobile equipment – multi-purpose combat platform of MRAP class; opportunities for deep upgrade of air defense systems – “Buk-M1” Air Defense System up to the level of “Buk-MB” Air Defense System; as well as full-scale models of modern sighting equipment and surveillance systems.
Today, only in the system of the State Authority for Military Industry 12 companies are certified as scientific ones. Approximately 6 thousand employees are engaged in scientific research and development, among them more than 100 have the PhD or doctor of science degree.
The scientific potential of the State Authority for Military Industry is based on scientific schools, traditionally belonging to defense, and created for its scientific support, as well as on scientific schools, working in the systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Ministries of Defense and Education, conducting basic scientific and military-technical research for military products development.
The share of innovative products in the total volume of industrial products shipped by the companies, included into the State Authority for Military Industry system, increased by 2.5 times in 2019 as compared to 2018, and amounted to 19.8%.
