In order to use “Krasnopol”, “Luch”, “Luch-2” high-precision artillery projectiles in combat actions, the operator needs to visually observe the target and provide the artillery system with precise target designation data.
For effective determination of target coordinates and target illumination, SFTUE “Belspetsvneshtechnika” has designed a state-of-the-art target designator-rangefinder “Puma-LRD”.
Latest algorithms of video processing used in the device allow merging images received from its ultra-sensitive CMOS camera and thermal imaging module, ensuring highest quality of imaging at day and night time. When connected to digital combat control systems “Puma-LRD” provides accurate data about targets as well as guides the ammunition.
“Puma-LRD” target designator-rangefinder is capable to carry out 24-hour target observation, illumination of moving and stationary targets, remote control of the device and its parameters, integration into an automated control system.
