Multi-rotor unmanned aircraft system of vertical take-off and landing “SHERSHEN”

Aircraft system based on small-size unmanned aerial vehicles of multi-rotor type is designed to remotely monitor the terrain (water space), and survey ground low-speed objects of a class “human”, “car” (“boat”) in real time, close to real time, mode.

Composition of UAS “Shershen”:
• Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) equipped with video camera module of visible range installed on gyro-stabilized rotating platform;
• (UAV) equipped with video camera module of IR range (8-12 nm) installed on gyro-stabilized rotating platform;
• UAV ground-based control station (GBCS);
• Container for UAV storage and transportation;
• Backpack for UAS transportation (optionally);
• SPTA.

UAS main capabilities:
• Automatic take-off and landing;
• En-route flight in automatic and automated modes;
• More than 100 intermediate waypoints with possibility to set altitude of flight, hovering and landing with hold-off;
• Automatic calculation of “no return point”;
• Automatic (programmed) making of decision to return, land or continue performing task in case of emergency situation, communication loss or while “no return point” is reached;
• Performing standard maneuvers;
• Target lock-on and tracking, definition of target coordinates, automatic target pursuing;
• Easy to be configured and upgraded;
• High reliability.

Payload:
• Video camera module of visible range installed on gyro-stabilized rotating platform;
• Bolometric-type video camera module of IR range (8-12 nm) installed on gyro-stabilized rotating platform;
• Sony, СоРго cameras of visible range, and FUR, Wuhan Guide IR cameras equipped with fixed focus lenses are used as payload modules.

Range of operating angles for sighting line deviation:
• By pitch - 90°;
• By roll - 60°;
• By yaw - 360°.

Camera sighting line can be remotely proportionally controlled using signals from GBCP.
