14.5х114 mm cartridges with B-32 bullet are designed to engage light-armored targets, firing points and targets located behind small-size shelters at distance up to 1000 m as well as to fire at concentrated infantry troops and transport vehicles at distance up to 2000 m and engage low-flying airborne targets at altitude up to 2000 m. 14.5х114 mm cartridges with B-32 bullet pierce 20 mm armor at 20 degree angle at distance up to 300 m and set on fire B-70 petroleum located behind the obstacle. 14.5х114 mm cartridges with B-32 bullet are used with KPV, KPVT machine-guns as well as PTRS and PTRD anti-tank rifles. The bullet tip is painted black-and-red.
