Venezuela and Belarus held the first bilateral meeting on military cooperation issues on November 13, 2017 in Caracas

The first bilateral meeting has been held within the framework of Joint Commission on military-technical cooperation between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Belarus.

The working meeting has taken place between His Excellency Mr. Oleg Paferov, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus and Mr. Clemente Antonio Diaz, Deputy Defense Minister for Planning and Development. Among its participants were the representatives of Strategic Command Operations of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, Vice-Ministry for Maintenance, Joint-Stock Company of Venezuelan Military Industry (CAVIM) and Integral Aerospace Defense Command (CODAI). The representatives of State Military Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus and State-owned Foreign Trade Unitary Enterprise “Belspetsvneshtechnika” have also attended the meeting.

The Parties discussed the current state of military-technical cooperation. Positive dynamics in cooperation between two countries has been noted in addition to wide range of perspective projects.
