The 16th International Asian Exhibition and Conference of Defense Systems and Services “DSA 2018” (Defence Services Asia) was held within April 16-19, 2018 in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) at the new venue in “MITEC”.
“DSA” exhibition is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense of Malaysia and the Royal Malaysia Police once every two years and attracts attention of leading manufacturers and customers of military equipment and armaments all over the world.
The subjects of “DSA 2018” exhibition cover Land Force armament, Air Defense, Electronic Warfare and Communication equipment, aircraft, coast guard armaments, armored vehicles and artillery systems, spec ops gear, military equipment and armaments for Navy, satellite and space technologies as well as dual-use goods.
“DSA” is one of the 5 top Defense and Security Exhibitions in the world and is consistently ranked as the main Defense Industry Event in the Asia-Pacific region.
“DSA 2018” exposition was located on 43 thousand square meters and occupied three floors of the Exhibition Centre. More than 1500 companies from 60 countries participated in the Exhibition. 30 national pavilions from Australia, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Great Britain, Japan, Ukraine and the USA were presented at the Exhibition.
350 VVIP-delegations from more than 40 countries along with more than 45 thousand visitors attended the Exhibition.
The joint Belarusian delegation was headed by the Military Industrial Committee's First Deputy Chairman Igor Demidenko.
SFTUE “Belspetsvneshtechnika” was aсting as a group organizer of Belarusian exposition. The joint exhibition platform of the Military Industrial Committee hosted JSC “KB Radar” — Managing Company of “Radar Systems” Holding, OJSC “140 Repair Plant”, “BelOMO” holding.
The up-to-date technologies, the latest developments of Belarusian manufacturers in the field of weapons and small arms, capabilities of the enterprises regarding the manufacturing of light-armored vehicles, optical and optronic goods, radar and EW assets in the field of Ground and Air Defense, repair and upgrade of air-to-air short-range aviation guided armaments were demonstrated within the exhibition.
The joint stand of the State Military Industrial Committee was visited by more than 300 specialists from 17 countries of the world (Australia, Austria, Germany, Indonesia, China, Norway, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, France, Philippines, South Korea).
A number of bilateral meetings was held. New samples of the equipment and armaments of Belarusian enterprises were shown within these meetings. The Parties expressed interest in the development of mutually beneficial bilateral interaction in the most promising directions of military-technical cooperation.
